CCM White Paper Details How Mobile App Helps Specialty Practice Improve Patient Care

November 29, 2018 -- Texas Colon & Rectal Specialists (TCRS),QFU TCRS Cvr serving the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area, is the largest practice of its kind in the United States, with 19 specialists in 18 locations.

In 2017, TCRS began using a new mobile app called Qure4u to optimize patient flow office practices, help patients prep for procedures and provide tools for collecting data directly from patients.

For post-procedure monitoring, the Qure4u HIPAA-compliant communication tool, the “MyCarePlan” app, provides patients access to both video and text messaging as well allowing them to access their care plans, appointment scheduling, vitals, and their “health score.”

According to Qure4u co-founder Dr. Monica Bolbjerg, during August 2018 alone, TCRS had more than 3,000 patients using the Qure4u app. The app was used to fill out about 6,500 surveys and forms and complete 15,000 tasks. As a result, the practice saved 400 staff hours that month. She also estimates that just by digitally simplifying post-procedure follow-up, the practice saved over $2000 per month.

The practice is now up to 88% patient engagement/patient usage – an impressive number, considering that most practices using some form of digital patient engagement technology achieve patient usage of only 30-40%.

Written by Randy Fillmore, the TCRS/Qure4u white paper will be available for download on the Qure4u website, and used in hard-copy format by the company’s sales force.
