Community health nonprofit targets HIV “hot spots,” forms new partnerships where need is greatest

By Steve Smith

CAN Community Health is forming new partnerships with organizations located where the need is greater than ever. And the need can be plainly seen using an innovative, interactive map called AIDSvu.

In Broward County, Florida, the community is already referring to Drs. Sheetal Sharma and Michael Sension as “The Dream Team" because of their exceptional wealth of experience and unwavering commitment to those they care for, and for their efforts in prevention.

Just south of Tampa Bay, CAN Community Health’s new Palmetto Center for Education and Testing is finding ways to reach out to the community's Hispanic population.

Discover the AIDSvu Map and learn more about CAN’s service to the underserved population living with HIV in our Fall-Winter 2018 edition of CAN Chronicles magazine.
